Davion Mintz agrees to Exhibit 10 deal with Washington Wizards
Make that three Kentucky Wildcats to see their professional basketball dreams come true on draft night. First it was Shaedon Sharpe (No. 7, Portland Trail Blazers), then TyTy Washington (No. 29, Houston Rockets) in the first round.
And then to close out the evening, former Kentucky guard Davion Mintz agreed to an Exhibit 10 deal with the Washington Wizards as an undrafted free agent.

An Exhibit 10 contract is a one-year, minimum salary NBA contract that provides flexibility for the team signing the player. Teams can convert a player’s one-year, minimum contract into a two-way contract before the start of the season. With an Exhibit 10 attachment, players can earn a bonus up to $50,000 in the event they are waived by the team and sign with its G League affiliate for 60 days.
His final season at Kentucky, Mintz averaged 8.5 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game in a sixth-man role, taking the floor in 31 games to go with six starts. The 1,000-point scorer ranked second on the team with 44 3-pointers and tallied 14 double-figure scoring efforts. The 6-foot-3 guard also had seven games with three or more 3-pointers and averaged 9.9 points per game during regular-season SEC action.
Now, Mintz is taking his talents to the NBA.
