Dayton transfer guard Koby Brea schedules final 2 visits
Dayton transfer Koby Brea, who shot 49.8 percent from three-point range last season, has locked in a pair of visits. But neither of them will be to Kentucky.
According to On3’s Joe Tipton, Brea will be at UConn from Friday through Sunday before going to Duke next Tuesday through Thursday. Additionally, On3’s Jamie Shaw reports that those will be the final two visits for the 6-foot-6 sharpshooter.
On April 22, it was reported that Brea was down to five finalists: Kentucky, Kansas, Duke, North Carolina, and UConn. He has not taken any prior visits. It would appear this recruitment will come down to the Huskies and Blue Devils, although Shaw adds that Brea “is not calling these his final two schools at this point.”

Transfer Portal
Boston College QB expected to enter NCAA Transfer Portal
Brea is considered one of the top shooters to enter the portal this offseason. He was a coin-flip three-point marksman with the Flyers in 2023-24 while attempting 6.1 shots from deep per outing. He posted per-game averages of 11.1 points and 3.8 rebounds in 29.1 minutes this past season, starting four of his 33 appearances.
Per On3’s 2024 Transfer Portal Top Players, Brea is the No. 71 overall transfer.
Even without a future visit from Brea, Kentucky and head coach Mark Pope already have their hands full this weekend. Below are the transfer prospects still expected to visit Lexington in the coming days. Additionally, Oklahoma transfer Otega Oweh was in town on Thursday while Utah State transfer Great Osobor will visit next week.
- Andrew Carr (Wake Forest)
- Deivon Smith (Utah)
- Andrej Stojakovic (Stanford)
- Aidan Mahaney (Saint Mary’s)
