The Dead Period is far from that in the world of college football recruiting. On-campus official visits wrapped up across the country on Sunday, but the hay is not in the barn. Recruits are contemplating their next destination before reaching a final decision. Here’s who Kentucky is involved with that could commit to the Cats this week.

WR Dallas Dickerson

Decision Date: Tuesday, June 24
Finalists: Kentucky, Oklahoma, Georgia Tech

A speedy wide receiver (4.42 in the 40-yard dash and 10.36 in the 100 meters) from just outside of Athens, GA, Dickerson helped North Oconee win its first state title last fall. Now he’s down to three finalists, and things are looking good for the Wildcats. He canceled an official visit to Florida to arrive in Lexington a week earlier than his originally scheduled OV. Oklahoma appears to be the team to beat, while a connection to Georgia Tech makes the Yellow Jackets a Wild Card.

Before entering decision-making mode, he broke down his finalists with Jacob Polacheck. Not a KSR+ member? Join now for all of the latest Kentucky football recruiting intel.

DL Ben Duncum

Decision Date: Wednesday, June 25, 2 PM ET
Finalists: UK, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Wisconsin

The defensive lineman from Texas spent his final weekend of the summer visiting Kentucky. That last visit could be the key to his recruitment. Even though Texas is not a place Kentucky has traditionally recruited well, the Cats have two pledges from the Lone Star State in the 2026 recruiting class.

OL Tyreek Jemison

Decision Date: Friday, June 27
Finalists: UK, Ole Miss, North Carolina, NC State, Georgia Tech

One of the most important players on Kentucky’s offensive line Big Board spent the weekend in Lexington and left with great reviews. “The time I had with Stoops and Wolf,” he told Rivals’ Justin Rowland. “Got that feeling with them. Those are some great people.” He’s from the Atlanta Metro area. Georgia Tech head coach Brent Key is a former OL coach with an excellent recruiting reputation. The Jackets may be the Cats’ top competition.

QB Matt Ponatoski

Decision Date: TBD
Finalists: Kentucky, Oregon, Alabama, Arkansas

Four schools are under consideration, but it’s boiled down to a two-horse race between Kentucky and Oregon for the Elite 11 finalist. The Wildcats had a ton of momentum a week ago until he went to Oregon for an official visit. He described the visit as “perfect.” That’s not exactly what Big Blue Nation wants to hear.

A two-sport star, he’s spending this week playing baseball in Georgia. The Top-100 talent detailed his decision-making process to On3’s Max Torres. We should know Ponatoski’s final choice by this time next week.

“I think probably stay in contact the next few days with with all the schools,” he said. “And I know that me and my parents are gonna take one school a night and kind of just go through the pros and cons. So I know last night we did one school and tonight we’re gonna do another. So after that, kind of just when the time feels right. It might be a little longer, because I don’t know if I want to do it while I’m out of town, but after I get back from Georgia, I think it could happen.”
