Deone Walker, Maxwell Hairston named Top 100 Players ahead of EA Sports College Football release
The release of EA Sports College Football 25 is just over a week away. What some would call the best sports video game ever invented is returning after a 11-year hiatus. The slow leaks are helping build the hype.
On Wednesday, EA Sports released their top-100 players for this year’s version of the game. Two Kentucky Wildcats made the cut. We expect each to receive some acknowledgement on the preseason All-SEC teams later this month.
Deone Walker checks in at No. 21 overall with a 93 overall rating. The junior defensive lineman’s strength (97) and awareness (96) are in the elite tier. Only nine defensive players are ranked ahead of Walker. Three of them play in the SEC.

Maxwell Hairston checks in at No. 61 overall with a 91 overall rating. The redshirt junior has a high rating in acceleration (93), jumping (92), and speed (91). Hairston is CB6 in the game trailing only Will Johnson (Michigan), Benjamin Morrison (Notre Dame), Tacario Davis (Arizona), Quincy Riley (Louisville), and Denzel Burke (Ohio State).
All that is left now is for the game to be released so we can all jump on the sticks and engulf that big spoonful of nostalgia that EA Sports will deliver us.
