Derek Willis to play in Germany
Derek Willis is having a big summer.
Not only did he get an invitation to live in John Calipari’s home while he trains in Lexington, but he will soon become a married man when he ties the knot with his fiancee, Keely Potts, in Elizabethtown.
On top of all that, he also signed his second professional contract since leaving the University of Kentucky. His soon-to-be wife announced the news on Twitter last night:
Congrats to my soon to be hubs on signing his second pro contract! @derek_willis33 I’m SO proud of you 😝🧡🇩🇪

Willis signed with BG Göttingen, which competes in Germany’s top basketball league. It’s the same league Darius Miller dominated for two years before coming back to the NBA.
Maybe Willis can take a similar path and return to the States after some German success?
