Details on Kentucky Blue Light -- Club Blue's new beer for UK's NIL efforts

By now you’ve probably heard of Kentucky Blue Light, the beer that puts money in UK student-athletes’ pockets thanks to Club Blue and Gravely Brewing Co. Shoot, you may have had a couple already at KSBar and Grille — the tap is open as of this past week.

We’ve seen the branding for both the tap and cans, Drew Franklin getting his hands on the latter at KSR’s live remote on Friday (and then plenty of the former at KSBar this weekend, I’m sure).

What is Club Blue?

Club Blue, an official partner of UK Athletics, supports University of Kentucky student-athletes by providing NIL (name, image, likeness) opportunities. These efforts help ensure all UK sports programs
continue to thrive in this new age of college athletics. In addition, Club Blue brings fans, businesses,
and their favorite athletic programs together, to create unforgettable experiences that weren’t
previously possible.

Club Blue assists Kentucky student-athletes in all sports to monetize their personal brands while supporting the at-large Kentucky community.

Fans can pledge one-time donations or subscriptions to support UK Athletics in general or specific sports like men’s and women’s basketball, football and baseball here.

What is the partnership?

Club Blue has announced a unique collaboration with Gravely Brewing Co (GBC) to produce a co-branded beer. Gravely Brewing, the most-award winning brewery in Kentucky, firmly believes beer brings communities together in furthering their passions, and this collaborative effort with Club Blue provides an ideal avenue to blend that belief with Club Blue’s support for Kentucky athletics.

A portion of all retail sales will support Club Blue and their NIL efforts for University of Kentucky student-athletes. Craft beer enthusiasts and fans of UK athletics will be able to show support for Kentucky with a crisp lager perfect for sporting events.

Why was this partnership a no-brainer?
