Kentucky transfer Deuce Hogan is headed to New Mexico State
Kentucky quarterback Deuce Hogan put his transfer plans on hold as Kentucky prepared to play Clemson in the Gator Bowl. After serving as QB2 during the postseason, the class of 2020 prospect quickly entered the transfer portal following the loss to Dabo Swinney’s team.
Hogan quickly found a new college football home. The transfer with two years of eligibility remaining will suit up for New Mexico State in 2024.
Deuce Hogan started his college football career at Iowa and spent two years in the Big Ten. Following the 2021 season, Hogan entered the transfer portal and landed at Kentucky shortly after the Wildcats knocked off the Hawkeyes in the Citrus Bowl. Hogan served as a backup quarterback the last two seasons playing for Rich Scangarello and Liam Coen. The second-time transfer is now headed to Conference USA to play for a New Mexico State program that has gone 17-11 over the last two seasons with two bowl game appearances. The Aggies made it to the conference championship game last season, but made a coaching change after Jerry Kill stepped down following NMSU’s New Mexico Bowl loss.
