Devin Booker spending off time in Paris giving out signed pairs of Nike Book 1 shoes
When Devin Booker isn’t helping Team USA lock up a spot in the Olympic quarterfinals, he’s spending his free time in Paris by giving out signed pairs of his new signature shoes.
In an Instagram Live video posted on Thursday, Booker was seen walking around the streets of Paris handing out free autographed pairs of the Nike Book 1, his first-ever signature shoe under the Nike brand. The former Kentucky guard started by hiding a pair at a nearby skatepark before handing out two more pairs to fans he met along the way, including one rocking his Phoenix Suns jersey.
It only took about 30 seconds before someone watching Booker’s livestream popped up to grab the hidden shoes. Booker then chased down the fan who was wearing his jersey to give him his own pair of signed sneakers. The two also took a picture together. I can only imagine the shock going through that dude’s head when Booker ran up to him and wanted to give him free stuff.

A couple of hours later, Booker posted a clip to his Instagram Story inside Bercy Arena watching Simone Biles perform for USA Gymnastics. Not a bad way to spend an off day at the Olympics. If you aren’t following Booker on IG yet, I would suggest you do — he’s posting regular vlogs of his trip overseas.
During Team USA’s two Group Phase wins over Serbia and South Sudan, Booker averaged 11 points and 5.5 assists in 24 minutes per game on 66.7 percent overall shooting. He’ll be back in action alongside Bam Adebayo and Anthony Davis on Saturday against Puerto Rico. Regardless of the outcome, Team USA will play in the quarterfinals next week with dreams of another gold medal in mind.
