Devin Booker surprised a local drink stand to make a charitable donation and two kids' day

Devin Booker may not be in the NBA Playoffs this year, but the former Kentucky star is still making a big impact in Phoenix in his free time. Booker recently made a surprise stop at a roadside drink stand while out cruising around in one of his old Chevys on a hot Arizona day. The two young kids behind the stand were shocked by the cash tip Booker left on top of his purchase of a Gatorade and homemade banana juice.
“Whoa, thank you,” they said. “Cool car!” one kid added, before the other ran up to Booker’s Chevy to ask, “Are you Devin Booker? I’m like your biggest fan.” Booker gave him a fist bump, saying, “Keep doing what you’re doing, have a good day,” as he drove away.
A very cool moment for the youngins and a very nice gesture by Booker to pull over to make their day.
According to ArizonaSports.com, the stand was a fundraiser for Almost There Rescue, a local nonprofit focused on “saving mama dogs and their puppies, providing care and enrichment and finding them loving, permanent homes.”
