Devin Booker's debut sneaker rollout features Drake, J. Cole and Tyler Ulis
The Nike Book 1 is set to release this holiday season, the first of many signature sneakers for former Kentucky star Devin Booker. Averaging a career-high 27.8 points this past season — 33.7 in 11 playoff games — the Grand Rapids native has become the face of the Phoenix Suns. And that’s with the franchise adding fellow superstars Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal.
And with that level of stardom as a three-time NBA All-Star and All-NBA member comes celebrity status and branding opportunities. He’s already been sponsored by the likes of Nike, Foot Locker, Finish Line, Corona, 2K Sports, Chevrolet and Call of Duty. Now he’s got his first official shoe, with the rollout about as star-studded as imaginable.
Booker released a sneak-peak of Book: Chapter One, a trailer featuring the likes of Durant, Beal, Drake, J. Cole, Kyler Murray, Phil Knight and Tyler Ulis.
The camcorder footage opens with Booker receiving the sneakers and wearing them on the basketball floor before showing them off to some of his other high-profile friends.
“Oh hell yeah, congrats bro. These are sick,” rapper J. Cole says in the clip.
Booker then drives to the Phoenix stop of Drake’s It’s All a Blur Tour where the world-famous artist — and dear friend of the Kentucky basketball program — brings the former Wildcat out and wears the orange sneakers on stage during the performance. That leads to Drake’s famous ‘See the shots that I took, wet like I’m Book’ line in front of the home crowd featuring the Suns’ biggest standouts, along with current UK student assistant Tyler Ulis.

Things wrap up with an up-close-and-personal look at the sneaker and Booker’s meeting with Nike co-founder Phil Knight.
That about covers it. See the trailer for yourself below:
He teased the shoes with color and wear tests this week, one look featuring a black version with a Detroit Tigers logo on the heel. The orange look has an official colorway label of “Clay Orange/Ice Peach-Campfire Orange.”
There is no official release date for Booker’s debut sneaker, but the Book: Chapter One is expected to arrive during the upcoming holiday season at a price point of $150. Two more colorways, “Light Orewood Brown” and “Ashen Slate,” are expected to follow in Spring 2024.
They will all drop at Nike, on the SNKRS app and select retailers worldwide, both in-store and online.
