One way or another, the denim is coming back — and Devin Booker is playing a role in putting it on shelves for public purchase.

By now, you know the former Kentucky star has not been shy about celebrating his time in Lexington with the release of his debut Nike sneaker, the Book 1. He first gifted the 2024-25 team a pair of special edition sneakers to open the regular season, honoring the 1996 national championship squad with 34-2 on the tongue and the old Wildcat logo all over.

“These are incredible, right?” Pope said at the time. “… Conveniently, Book One is chapter one, which is very relevant to us. Super cool.”

Booker debuted a white colorway with blue trim of that same sneaker in an NBA game, highlighted by that retro Wildcat logo.

From there, Booker sent a third set of Book 1s to the Wildcats — a special edition Valentine’s Day set called “Book Chapter 1: Sunrise.” They were light pink with a darker shade on the front sole and orange accents on the tongue, inside and on the back sole.

Up next? Potentially Booker’s best work, rolling out an official denim pair of Book 1s, available for purchase now. A nod to Kentucky’s 1996 title team and their famous — or infamous, depending on who you ask — denim uniforms worn on their way to banner No. 6 in Lexington.

The name? “Nike Book 1: Blue Blood.”

Fitting, right?

Take a look at the sneakers with various shades of blue denim with exposed foam on the tongue, a must-have for any diehard member of Big Blue Nation:

You can purchase them now for $140 at the following retailers:

Will you be picking up a pair? You can guarantee the Wildcats will be rocking them next season at Rupp Arena.
