Devin Leary to participate in Manning Passing Academy
For the second straight year, a Kentucky quarterback is going to the Manning Passing Academy. Senior signal-caller Devin Leary is among the 45 college quarterbacks invited to serve as a counselor at the prestigious offensive football skills camp June 22-25 at Nichols State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana. The academy was founded by college football Hall of Famer Archie Manning over 25 years ago and his sons, Peyton, Eli, and Cooper Manning, serve as associate directors. Notable alums include Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, Jalen Hurts, Trevor Lawrence, Patrick Mahomes, and Dak Prescott.
Last year, Will Levis was a counselor at the Manning Passing Academy and was even featured in an episode of “One the Clock with the Mannings.” Levis not only got to showcase his skills, but also learn from the Mannings and his fellow counselors. He was one of the standouts at the “Air-It-Out Challenge,” a skills competition between the college quarterbacks on campus.
Now, Leary, who was limited by injuries throughout last season at NC State, will have the opportunity to do the same alongside names like Arch Manning (Texas), Drake Maye (North Carolina), Jayden Daniels (LSU), Grayson McCall (Coastal Carolina), and Will Rogers (Mississippi State).
