Former Kentucky signee Devonte Ross transfer to Penn State

Devonte Ross was a late member of Kentucky’s 2021 high school signing class as the Wildcats flipped the Marshall commit at the deadline and added the Cartersville (Ga.) High product fresh off a senior season that saw him record 43 receptions for 876 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Unfortunately, Ross never enrolled in classes at Kentucky.

The three-star prospect landed at Troy and joined the Sun Belt program’s roster in 2022. Now Devonte Ross is heading to the Big Ten for his final season of eligibility.

The wideout is leaving Troy to play for head coach James Franklin in Happy Valley with 129 career receptions for 1,618 yards and 14 touchdowns. Devonte Ross has also been a standout kick and punt returner with one career touchdown. Ross had his best year to date as a junior in 2024 when he recorded 76 reception for 1,043 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Now the former Kentucky signee will head to the Big Ten.
