Dez Bryant won't stop talking about Kentucky basketball
Dez Bryant, the former NFL Pro Bowl wide receiver who played seven seasons for the Dallas Cowboys, is all in on this season’s Kentucky Wildcats. Why? We have absolutely zero idea.
Over the last couple of weeks, Bryant has been posting on social media about his love for John Calipari’s group. On multiple occasions has he predicted Kentucky (and Houston) to make the Final Four next month. Even after the ‘Cats lost a heartbreaker on the road to LSU on Feb. 21, Bryant was hyping up UK the very next day.
“I like Kentucky energy and aggressiveness on the offensive side and defensive side,” Bryant wrote on Feb. 22 on X/Twitter. “I don’t think nobody playing more confident than Kentucky or Houston right now.”
Following Kentucky’s thrilling win over Mississippi State earlier this week, Bryant showed love for both Reed Sheppard and MSU’s Josh Hubbard. Sheppard and Hubbard combined for 66 points in the battle between freshmen guards, with Sheppard getting the last laugh right before the buzzer.

“Boss both of you guys went crazy last night,” Bryant wrote.
It was just the other day (at nearly two in the morning, mind you) that Bryant posted a “random thought” where he again pronounced Kentucky as a Final Four team.
Again, why is Dez Bryant — of all people — so entrenched with his group of Wildcats? Maybe he wants a spot on Mark Stoops’ staff? Or maybe he gathering intel for his next monster 13-leg parlay bet? Whatever the reason is Dez, just know that the Big Blue Nation believes you caught that ball.
