The national takes are coming in hot regarding Kentucky‘s chances to make a run in the NCAA Tournament. First, it was Jay Wright calling the Cats “really interesting” while saying he feels good about a second weekend — the program’s first since 2019. Then, Clark Kellogg picked John Calipari’s group to make a run to the Final Four while Seth Greenberg had them advancing to the national championship before falling to UConn in the grand finale.
As for the person to call their biggest shot with the Cats? None other than the man, myth and legend himself, Dickie V.

Dick Vitale has Kentucky coming out of the South, UConn out of the East, Baylor out of the West and Tennessee out of the Midwest, setting up a two-team SEC field in Phoenix. Only one would come out alive, though, with the Cats beating the Vols to advance to the title game and the Huskies beating the Bears on the other side of the bracket to move on, as well.
From there, it’s a rematch of the 2014 national title game, only this time it’s Kentucky being crowned champion.
“KENTUCKY to WIN it ALL!” he said.
I don’t know about you, but I believe Dickie V has a perfect bracket.
