The team of Karl Ravech and Jimmy Dykes will add a third member to their broadcast team for Kentucky‘s game at Alabama on Saturday. Dick Vitale announced that he will join Ravech and Dykes in Coleman Coliseum to call the marquee SEC matchup.

Vitale made his return to broadcasting on Saturday, February 8, for Duke at Clemson. He followed Duke to Cameron Indoor the following Saturday for the Blue Devils’ 36-point win over Stanford. Kentucky-Alabama will be his third game since he beat the odds and returned to work two years after stepping away with cancer.

Vitale: Injuries have hurt Kentucky

Looking ahead to Saturday’s game in Tuscaloosa, Vitale posted about a conversation he had with Mark Pope, in which Pope admitted that he doesn’t know when Lamont Butler and Jaxson Robinson will return to the lineup.

“Had (a) chat with (Mark Pope) today about his team & he is not sure when Lamont Butler & Jaxson Robinson will return from injuries,” Vitale wrote on X. “I Love Coach Pope’s positive attitude but it is a fact injuries have hurt CATS.”

Roy Philpott and Daymeon Fishback on Wednesday
