DJ Miller Signs with Kentucky to Complete the 2025 Class
The wait is finally over. Dejerrian “DJ” Miller signed with Kentucky. The school officially announced the decision Thursday morning just after 10 am EST. It was about 24 hours later than we expected, but the Cats got it done.
There was plenty of angst for recruit-nicks during the long wait for Miller’s paperwork. Although his recruiting ranking will not blow you away, he is a big X-receiver, something Kentucky desperately needs, especially in the wake of Dane Key’s departure. He’s also a player who was coveted by Ole Miss and Tennessee, a pair of prolific passing offenses.
Miller’s absence led to uncertainty if he would in fact stay with the Wildcats. His primary recruiter, Daikiel Shorts, had just bolted for Nebraska. Even though Kentucky did a pretty good job keeping the class together in the wake of a 4-8 season with only two late defections, it wouldn’t be shocking if Miller became the third. A player who led a quiet recruitment, it was hard to get a read on the situation, but Mark Stoops remained confident Wednesday afternoon.
“We anticipate one more coming in the next couple hours. If it takes longer than that, that’s fine, but I anticipate getting that done, and it’ll be a big addition to the group we already have,” said the Kentucky head coach.
It took longer than many would have liked, but Kentucky got another good one on board in the 2025 class.

Signing Day Profile
Bio: A large X-receiver, Miller is one of the last additions to the 2025 Kentucky football recruiting class. Hailing from the St. Louis metro area, he turned down some of the nation’s top passing offenses at Tennessee and Ole Miss to come to Kentucky. “The way they get the ball to their players and the opportunity I have there, I could be SEC Freshman of the Year,” he told On3 after announcing his decision. “I just trust the coaches will put me in a position to make plays right away.”
Scouting Report: Highly productive playmaker for St. Louis (Mo.) Cardinal Ritter producing 124 receptions for 2,297 yards and 33 touchdowns during his final two seasons. Big-bodied wideout with a sizable catch radius. Does best work on vertical routes. Terrific balltracking. Makes competitive catches against tight coverage. Vertical play creator. Not a burner. True X receiver who does not need a ton of separation to be open. Will immediately give the Kentucky wide receiver room some much needed size. Can play as a true freshman.
