As it turns out, Kentucky won’t have a full roster for the first time all season tonight against Florida.

Head coach John Calipari announced on pregame radio that freshmen DJ Wagner and Justin Edwards have been ruled out against the Gators. Calipari says that Wagner is dealing with an ankle issue while Edwards continues to rehab a knee injury he suffered during practice last Friday. Edwards came off the bench in Kentucky’s most recent outing against Arkansas on Saturday and played just nine minutes.

With Wagner out, Reed Sheppard will step into the starting lineup, as will Adou Thiero for Edwards. Calipari also mentioned that Aaron Bradshaw and Zvonimir Ivisic will come off the bench, likely indicating that Ugonna Onyenso will receive the start next to Tre Mitchell in the frontcourt.

Kentucky has already played all 19 games this season without a full roster — hopefully one more won’t hurt. Tipoff is set for 8:00 p.m. EST on ESPN.
