A total of 12 Wildcats received minutes in Kentucky’s 95-60 victory over Western Kentucky. 11 scored, including three walk-ons. The only two players on the entire roster to sit out? Dontaie Allen and Lance Ware.

Both available in the days leading up to the game, John Calipari confirmed that Allen is dealing with an injury suffered in a recent practice, while Ware was simply “not feeling right” prior to the opening tip.

As a result, neither player was available for the Wildcats on Wednesday.

Calipari said Allen — who is dealing with a right knee strain, a source told KSR — was feeling “a little shaky” before the game.

“He hurt himself in practice,” Calipari said. “… I asked Dontaie before the game, ‘How are you feeling?’ ‘Eh, I’m a little shaky.'”

As for Ware, Calipari hoped to put the sophomore forward in the game, but he wasn’t feeling up for it. Instead, Daimion Collins got his minutes — all six of them.

“I wanted to stick Lance in, and Lance said, ‘Coach, I’m not feeling right. I’m not loose, just not feeling right,'” Calipari said. “I’m fine with it. I was going to Lance and saying, ‘Let Daimion play.’ That’s what happened.”

Allen has registered just three total minutes since the start of December, including with two DNPs coming against Notre Dame and North Carolina. He’s averaging 5.1 points on 34.2% shooting and 22.2% from three in 11.3 minutes per contest on the year.

As for Ware, he’s averaging 1.3 points and 1.3 rebounds in 6.7 minutes per contest on the season. He did, however, finish with a season-high 13 minutes in Kentucky’s win over North Carolina in Las Vegas.
