Doron Lamb, DeAndre Liggins added to La Familia's 2025 TBT roster

After making a run to The Basketball Tournament semifinals last summer, La Familia is running it back with some fresh faces.
On Tuesday morning, La Familia announced that former Kentucky guards Doron Lamb and DeAndre Liggins will suit up for this summer’s TBT experience. Those two join Willie Cauley-Stein, who was on last season’s roster, as the three committed players so far. More roster announcements will be made in the coming weeks.
Last year’s TBT (which utilizes the Elam Ending) was hosted at Rupp Arena, but this time around, Memorial Coliseum will set the scene for the Lexington Regional from July 18-23. La Familia will be grouped with X-Rayted, Tampa Florida Pickup Basketball, and War Ready (Auburn alumni).
Led by GM Twany Beckham, last season’s La Familia crew consisted of former ‘Cats such as Cauley-Stein, Eric Bledsoe, the Harrison Twins, and Nate Sestina, among others. Kerem Kanter, the brother of Enes Kanter, was the lone non-UK player on the roster — and he ended up being one of the team’s best players. La Familia set a TBT attendance record last summer in a quarterfinal matchup vs. The Ville in Louisville, which was won by the Kentucky alums.
It’s still unknown how many players from last year’s roster will return, but Cauley-Stein, Lamb, and Liggins are a great start. Lamb, who played two seasons at UK (2010-12), currently plays for UEB Gesteco Cividale in Italy. Liggins, who played at UK for three seasons (2008-11), currently plays for Dijlah Al-Jamiea of the Iraqi Basketball Association.

The winner of the Lexington Regional will advance to TBT’s quarterfinals on July 29. The semifinals will be held on July 31, and TBT’s $1 million championship will be played on Aug. 3.
For the first time, TBT will give each host team the opportunity to have homecourt advantage for the quarterfinals, semifinals, and the $1 million championship game. Should two regional hosts face-off, the tiebreaker will be determined by which host sells 4,000 tickets the fastest.
Tickets will go on sale May 6. To be the first to secure tickets for the event, fans can sign up for ticket and team updates at https://tbthoops.com/tickets/updates/. For more information on this year’s TBT or La Familia, visit tbthoops.com.
