This week two former Kentucky Wildcats are showing off their talents to NFL coaches and scouts at the Senior Bowl in Mobile. The game will kick off on Saturday, but the most important work happens in practices, meeting and measurements leading into the event.

Punter Max Duffy and center Drake Jackson have already logged two days worth of practices at Ladd-Peebles Stadium. During that time Jackson was seen snapping to one-time UK commit, National Championship-winning quarterback Mac Jones. Oh, what could have been. The players also received official height and weight measurements. Depending on what happens with the combine, this could be their only chance to get measured by NFL officials.

OL Drake Jackson, Kentucky
Height: 6’1”
Weight: 290
Wing: 77 1/2”
Arm: 31 1/8”
Hand: 8 1/2”

P Max Duffy, Kentucky
Height: 6’0”
Weight: 197
Wing: 72 1/2”
Arm: 29 3/4”
Hand: 8 3/4”

How do those measurements stack up with the competition? Not great for Jackson. He was tied with a player from Grambling State as the shortest offensive lineman in Mobile and he had the shortest arms among all offensive linemen at the event.

Jackson cannot grow longer arms before the NFL Draft in April. He can continue to put out good tape. The Versailles native did not start with a bang, losing to USC’s Marlon Tuipulotu in a one-on-one pass-protecting drill, but he bounced back with an impressive pancake against Marvin Wilson, a former five-star recruit that is potentially a day two draft pick.

He didn’t just beat Wilson in one-on-ones. Jackson also got the best of the former Florida State Seminole on a reach block in the inside drill.

Wilson wasn’t the only player Jackson bested in Mobile.

Jackson and Duffy will be playing for the American Team, coached by the Carolina Panthers staff, Saturday at 2:30 pm ET on the NFL Network.
