Kroger KSR Game of the Week: DuPont Manual at St. X
The 6-0 DuPont Manual Crimsons will take on the 5-1 St. X Tigers on Friday in the Kroger KSR Game of the Week. This game features a top-five matchup between 6A powers. St. X is the state’s top-ranked team in the latest KSR rankings. Manual comes in at fourth.
St. X is coming off a 37-0 win over Ryle in a game that included a dominant defensive performance. The Tigers limited Ryle to just 30 yards of total offense and picked off three passes. St. X is the defending 6A state champions and is led by Coach Kevin Wallace. Micah Carter is a dynamic defender that paces the team with 37 tackles, 5 TFLs, and 4 QB sacks. The 6’5″, 260-pound defensive lineman committed to Purdue on June 10.
DuPont Manual is coming off a bye week. Zah’Ron Washburn is 6A’s second-leading rusher after accumulating 650 yards. He’s averaging 108 yards and two scores per outing. Head coach Donnie Stoner’s Crimsons are undefeated on the season and will be looking to knock off the top-ranked Tigers.
