Eli Drinkwitz Tries to Troll Kansas and it Backfires
Eli Drinkwitz is a real piece of work. The Missouri head football coach is an agitator. Saturday he took it to another level.
Missouri and Kansas renewed the Border War rivalry on the hardwood. Once The Big 8’s most intense annual matchup, the oldest rivalry west of the Mississippi was played each year from 1907-2012. The series went dormant when Missouri departed for the SEC.
The two sides finally got back together last year, and Kansas stomped the Tigers 102-65, the biggest Kansas win in the series since 1977. Saturday’s matchup at Mizzou Arena was much of the same. Kansas completely overwhelmed Missouri in a 28-point victory. The action on the court became a sideshow thanks to Missouri’s Sideshow Bob football coach.
Eli Drinkwitz attended the Border War game in what was likely a huge recruiting weekend for the Tigers. To steal some of the limelight during the bad loss, he interjected by bringing a sign to fire up the student section.

Take a closer look at the sign Eli Drinkwitz held up at the game.
“Get Loud If You Hate Kansas” and “FIVE Level One Violations”
There’s one thing KSR and Eli Drinkwitz can agree on: More people need to be talking about the cheating defending National Champs. Bill Self’s hairpiece has gotten off easy and it’s disgusting. Thank you for shining light on the cheatingest cheaters who ever cheated.
Here’s the problem with Eli’s antics. Two weeks ago he ducked the Jayhawks. Missouri could have played Kansas in the Liberty Bowl. The stars appeared to align for the 6-6 rivals to face off before it returns to the schedule in 2025. Instead, Eli Drinkwitz and Missouri asked the SEC to be placed in a different bowl game, according to Brett McMurphy. Missouri will travel to Tampa to take on Wake Forest in the Gasparilla Bowl.
Eli Drinkwitz could have played a traditional rival within driving distance. He’d rather hold up a sign and act like a clown than actually settle a dispute on the gridiron. What a dork.
