End of an Era: The KSR Live Blog is No More
The KSR Live Blog was unlike any other place on the internet. Unfortunately, it is no more. Beginning with the 2023 Kentucky football season, Kentucky Sports Radio is no longer hosting a Live Blog during UK sporting events.
The Live Blog has been a joy throughout the years. It was a place to vent when things were going wrong, a place to celebrate some of our greatest sports memories, and a place to make fun of Rick Bozich and Pat Forde. On third downs we TOOTed, Wes and FinnaGoHam brought the GIFs and FakeSirBrandon added an -eth to every statement, defusing tense situations for Kentucky fans everywhere.
The end of the KSR Live Blog is out of our hands. The software company that served as our online host shared with us last fall that they were “making some changes to our product portfolio.” It was a fancy way to say they’re getting out of the Live Blog business. We searched for suitable alternatives, but came up empty-handed.

In lieu of a Live Blog, Kentucky Sports Radio is slightly shaking things up to keep you up to date throughout every Kentucky football and basketball game. For each game we will be talking about what’s happening on a LIVE Thread on KSBoard. It’s not as immediate as its precursor, but we will use it to paint a picture of what’s happening in between the lines and online. Additionally, we’ll be providing updates and commentary on social media @KSRonX.
As much as the KSR Crew has enjoyed participating in the Live Blog over the years, it can be demanding. Instead of keeping an attentive eye on the play-by-play, we can now focus our resources elsewhere to better serve you on a variety of platforms, from the message board to YouTube.
It’s the end of an era and it was one heck of a ride. RIP Live Blog.
