Highlights with Everything You Need to See From the Kentucky Football Spring Showcase

The traditional Kentucky Football Spring Game was broadcast on the SEC Network. This year, Texas A&M is the only SEC team showing off its spring practice to a nationally televised audience.
The 2025 Kentucky Football Spring Showcase did not differ too much from the past. There was an hour-long, 11-on-11 scrimmage, typically pitting the first-team offense against the first-team defense. The biggest change was that it could not be found on TV.
Fortunately for Kentucky fans who couldn’t make it to Kroger Field, Steven Peake had his camera rolling. Even better news — Peake isn’t just giving you quick cuts of plays. Prepare to enjoy a heavy dose of the most noteworthy moments from the lightly-attended event.
As you’ll see, the scrimmage opened with a bang. Dante Dowdell got a hole and only needed to break one tackle to take it to the house. There’s only one problem: They weren’t tackling. He was ruled down after about 15 yards because a player was in position. If it was live, I’d bet a nickel that the former Nebraska Cornhusker would throw down the defender en route to the end zone.

Peake caught some of the best of the best from the Kentucky football team. That includes a 25-yard David Washington touchdown and a nice long ball to former Alabama wide receiver Kendrick Law. Mr. Peake also captured some of the bad. He’s giving Big Blue Nation the full Kentucky Football Spring Showcase experience in three minutes. See for yourself.
The only thing Peake could not capture for the Kentucky Sports Radio audience was the last one. He was on the opposite sideline when the Cats had third and goal from the 2-yard line. Stone Saunders connected to Montavin Quisenberry, who tipped the ball into the air, then caught it as he was falling across the goal line into the end zone. Fortunately, it did happen right in front of Aaron Perkins.
