Kentucky Transfer Portal Watch: Erick All commits to Iowa

Tight end did not figure to be a huge position of need for Kentucky in the 2023 transfer recruiting cycle. However, things can change fast in college football.
The Wildcats are set to return both Jordan Dingle and Josh Kattus for their sophomore campaigns in 2023 after solid debut years this past fall. In high school recruiting, Kentucky picked up a big December win after Khamari Anderson decommitted from Cincinnati following a coaching change and quickly ended up in UK’s class.
However, the Cats were also looking at potential transfer portal help at the tight end position. Michigan transfer Erick All emerged as an option. That is no longer the case.

After taking an official visit to Iowa City last weekend, All has decided to follow quarterback Cade McNamara from Ann Arbor to Iowa as both players will stay in the Big Ten. The Fairfield (Ohio) High product was a four-star recruit in the class of 2019 who played high school football with Kentucky tailback JuTahn McClain. The 255-pound tight end missed most of the 2022 season but finished the 2021 year with 38 receptions for 438 yards and two touchdowns.
Now All will head to Iowa as Kirk Ferentz’s program is looking to make some big offensive changes after having some very ugly results the last two years under offensive coordinator Brian Ferentz. The Hawkeyes are hopeful that All will play a big part in their new-look approach.
