Erin Calipari is on the front page of The Tennessean
A Calipari is on the front page of The Tennessean, the Nashville newspaper, and it’s not the one you might expect. John Calipari’s eldest daughter Erin is the subject of a feature article on her work at the Vanderbilt Center for Addiction Research. With the opioid crisis crippling the country, Erin is looking into the effect the immune system has on drug cravings, specifically in women.
The article goes in-depth on her research, which is seriously impressive, but also her life as the daughter of a high-profile coach. As we’ve learned, Erin and her sister Megan aren’t afraid to defend their father on social media, even going back and forth with Jay Bilas after Bilas shared The Oregonian’s article about college hoops corruption that used a picture with Calipari in it as the main image. That was a fun day on Twitter.
After getting to know her over the years, it’s great to see Erin’s work receiving the attention it deserves. It’s also great to see that even badass neurologists still hold hands with their dad.
Never too old to hold hands with dad 😍. @UKCoachCalipari
