The Zvonimir Ivisic wait could finally be nearing an end.

ESPN college basketball analyst Seth Greenberg posted to Twitter/X on Tuesday night that Ivisic, who committed to the Kentucky men’s basketball program on August 1 and signed two weeks later, will arrive on UK’s campus this Thursday, one day ahead of Friday’s Big Blue Madness. Greenberg is currently in Lexington to provide live hits for SportsCenter during Kentucky’s annual Pro Day on Wednesday night at Rupp Arena.

There is currently no indication if Ivisic will participate in Big Blue Madness, but the expectation from Greenberg is that he’ll be in Lexington.

Ivisic, a 7-foot-2 Croatian center viewed as a potential NBA Draft pick, only recently gained entry into the University of Kentucky by the school’s admissions department. Head coach John Calipari posted about Ivisic on social media last week to officially welcome the versatile big man to the Big Blue Nation.

“I can’t tell you how happy I am with how this all turned out,” Calipari wrote. “The work was done by Big Z and his family. For him to be persistent and keep fighting was so impressive and it showed how badly he wanted to be a part of our team! He overcame all obstacles and just wouldn’t be deterred.

“When we started recruiting Z, my mind started moving to how we can help our University become even more prominent worldwide. This basketball program is a global brand and now we can continue to open new avenues for students to come to the University of Kentucky.”

Ivisic most recently averaged 11.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.4 blocks per game in the FIBA U20 European Championship. He also averaged 5.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game playing for SC Derby in the Adriatic League. Will we see him at Big Blue Madness?
