Two years ago, Will Levis became the biggest story in the NFL Draft for all of the wrong reasons. Even though history will not exactly repeat itself, the former Kentucky quarterback is in a position to make headlines during the 2025 NFL Draft.

Levis was one of four quarterbacks invited to the green room in Kansas City. There were two obvious options at the top of NFL Draft boards, C.J. Stroud and Bryce Young. Behind the two, it was a battle between Levis and Anthony Richardson. Even though Kentucky embarrassed Richardson and the Florida Gators in The Swamp, it was unclear who the Colts would invest their future in at No. 4 overall.

The KSR crew was in Kansas City, looking for reactions from Colts fans when they made their selection. Most wanted Richardson. Instead of us filming disappointed fans, we were the ones who were disappointed.

For the next three hours, cameras closely eyed Levis and his entourage in the room behind the NFL Draft stage. As each pick rolled in without his name called, the tension grew higher and higher, until he became a meme. The night ended and he was not picked.

Levis did not have to wait long to hear his name on day two. The Titans traded up to take him with the second selection of the second round. Still, the slight was seen as a point of motivation that could fuel him to NFL success. That never materialized.

Despite showing promise during his rookie season, that late-season momentum was crushed by a coaching change and crippling turnovers. He was benched, putting his future in doubt.

A Levis Trade Should be Made at the NFL Draft

What exactly happens next for Will Levis is unclear. There is one thing we know with almost 100% certainty: The Titans will select another quarterback with the No. 1 overall pick. Cam Ward is -10000 at BetMGM to be the top pick. A $100 wager will only win you $1 when the Titans take Ward.

The Titans have a few options. They could keep Levis around while Ward grows, but the most likely move will be to move Levis to another team. That’s where it becomes more difficult to forecast.

Levis will not be the most coveted experienced quarterback on the market. Kirk Cousins and Aaron Rodgers are old, but they clearly have a higher floor than the second-year former Kentucky Wildcat. We also don’t know how much these teams value this year’s quarterbacks in the NFL Draft. Would you rather take a flyer on Tyler Shough, or try to rehabilitate Will Levis‘ career?

The Titans are in the process of building around a rookie quarterback. That makes NFL Draft assets an even bigger priority. It may not happen on Thursday, but don’t be surprised if Will Levis is on the move to give Tennessee more selections in the 2025 NFL Draft.
