Expert determines Kentucky players' value to program
How much were John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins, and Anthony Davis worth to the Kentucky basketball program? An expert witness in Louisville’s pay-to-play criminal case was tasked with determining just that.
WDRB’s Jason Riley posted these tables on Twitter, which show the expert’s breakdown on how much each player on various Kentucky squads was worth in respect to the cost of their education:
A million dollars is a lot, but Wall and Cousins were worth WAY more than that to Kentucky. Also, poor Mark Krebs. He actually cost Kentucky money.

Not surprisingly, the expert determined Anthony Davis was the most valuable member of the 2012 national championship team.
Also not surprising: according to figures from 2011, Kentucky spends more on recruiting than any public school in the Power 5.
