Every No. 1 seed advances to 2025 Final Four

Many prognosticators believed that the 2025 NCAA Tournament could become the first since 2008 where all four No. 1 seeds could advance to the Final Four since the field expanded to 64 teams in 1985. That prediction became reality this weekend.
The year of chalk will roll into San Antonio next weekend. Auburn finished off a complete No. 1 seed sweep on Sunday evening in Atlanta. Three of the Elite Eight wins occurred over No. 2 seeds. The other was over a No. 3 seed. This was a clean sweep.
- West: No. 1 Florida 84, No. 3 Texas Tech 79
- East: No. 1 Duke 85, No. 2 Alabama 65
- Midwest: No. 1 Houston 69, No. 2 Tennessee 50
- South: No. 1 Auburn 70, No. 2 Michigan State 64
The Final Four is now set.
Auburn (2nd Final Four), Duke (18th Final Four), Florida (6th Final Four), and Houston (7th Final Four) will all be present in the Alamodome. Duke is looking for its sixth national championship. Florida is looking for its third national championship. Auburn and Houston are each searching for their first national championship. There will be a first-time championship head coach this year as Bruce Pearl, Jon Scheyer, Todd Golden, and Kelvin Sampson are all looking for their first title.
In the last Final Four with four No. 1 seeds, Kansas edged out Memphis in a historical national championship game. Could this year deliver something similar? This has been the year of the SEC in college hoops and it will end with two teams in the Final Four for the first time since 2014.
