First Down Kentucky: It's RPM SZN
There are a lot of moving parts in the month of June. The Kentucky coaching staff is taking no days off to build future rosters. As camp season winds down, all attention is focused on official visits. It’s closing time for the Cats. Who will they lock up? Let’s share the latest from the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM).
First, the bad news. Following an official visit to Purdue, On3’s Steve Wiltfong logged a prediction for the Boilermakers to land the four-star cornerback from Columbus. His older cousin is Tayvion Galloway, a four-star tight end who signed with Purdue in December. Galloway is one of the top defensive backs on Kentucky’s big board and is set to take an official visit to Lexington next week.
For a while, it looked like Ohio State or Penn State were the Wildcats’ biggest threat. Now Purdue has all of the momentum. Kentucky has to make a big move late to prevent Ryan Walters from snagging another four-star cornerback from Ohio (Koy Beasley in 2024).
The slot receiver from Boyle County has been on Kentucky’s radar for years. It always felt like one day he would commit to Kentucky. I got that feeling once again when he camped during an unofficial visit to Lexington on Monday. There are questions about Quisenberry’s size, but he fits the culture the Cats are trying to cultivate in the wide receiver room.
He hasn’t played football for long, but the 6-foot-5, 260-pound defensive lineman is already the No. 135 player in America. The biggest names in the sport are pursuing the impressive athlete from Frankfort. He’s already officially visited Ohio State and is currently at Auburn, but it’s going to be a challenge to pull him away from his Old Kentucky Home. Following his OV in Lexington, I’m officially joining Steve Wiltfong by predicting a third Top 200 commitment for the Cats’ 2025 recruiting class.
Those are just a couple of the RPM Picks I submitted this afternoon. You can find more over at KSR+. Not a member? Back to School
We spend much of our time focused on what’s happening around the Joe Craft Football Training Facility during this time of year, we forget that it’s only a small part of the equation. Summer school is back in session and for about a dozen of the Wildcats — like RB Tovani Mizzell, who arrived in Lexington on Sunday — it’s their first time ever stepping foot inside of a college classroom. It can be a bit overwhelming and also an enjoyable experience. Hopefully, it’s more of the latter for these Cats.
The return to the classroom also came with a little team bonding over steaks and games. Dean Hood organized the event, then became the victim of his own success.

It’s a Major Championship week and we have kickoff times for the 2024 Kentucky football schedule. That means Adam Luckett and I are talking ball a few days earlier than normal. Bring your popcorn and join us on the KSR YouTube Channel tonight at 8 pm EST.
It’s a National Holiday
Twenty-five years ago today, Juvenile released an American classic. That is why today New Orleans Mayor Linda Cantrell declared it “Back That Azz Up Day.” Celebrate accordingly.
