It may not be a busy June 25 for the Kentucky Wildcats, but prepare yourselves for one heck of a June 26. The 2025 NBA Draft is just four weeks away, a chance for Mark Pope to see his first selections come off the board as head coach. None of his players are expected to hear their names called in the first round, but it could be a phenomenal second round for the program as five players have been listed in ESPN’s top 100 prospects following the draft withdrawal deadline, one that saw Otega Oweh pull his name out and return to Lexington.

With plenty of shaking and moving for the rest of the field as some of college basketball’s biggest names, like Oweh, decided to run it back in college, some of the old heads are right in the thick of things. If the Wildcats aren’t selected in the 59-player draft — two are in serious contention — they’ll certainly be in the first wave of undrafted free agents snatched up shortly after things wrap up in Brooklyn.

One way or another, it’s going to be a Kentucky-heavy NBA Summer League.

Where does ESPN have the former Cats listed in the top 100?

48. Koby Brea, SG/SF, Kentucky | Age: 22.5
60. Amari Williams, C, Kentucky | Age: 23.3
72. Jaxson Robinson, SG/SF, Kentucky | Age: 22.4
94. Lamont Butler, PG, Kentucky | Age: 22.9
100. Andrew Carr, PF/C, Kentucky | Age: 23.3

Brea, Williams come off the board in Bleacher Report’s latest mock

Just how much did the withdrawal movement help get the former Cats in the conversation? Jonathan Wasserman of Bleacher Report doesn’t just have two players sneaking into the draft, he’s got two firmly in the 59-man field ready to hear their names called in Brooklyn.

Brea is now considered a mid-second-round selection, going No. 43 overall to the Sacramento Kings, while Williams is projected as the No. 50 overall pick to the New York Knicks.

Could we see the new Weetabix spokesman team up with Karl-Anthony Towns in the Big Apple? Bleacher Report sees the fit.
