Florida Transfer Khris Bogle, a Kentucky Target, Signs with Michigan State
Kentucky has lost at least one National Signing Day recruiting battle to Michigan State. Florida transfer Khris Bogle announced that he has signed with the Spartans.
The Wildcats and the Spartans were Bogle’s two finalists. Kentucky received the last official visit, but it was not enough to secure the commitment.
A Top 50 prospect in the class of 2019 from Cardinal Gibbons High School, Bogle initially signed with Florida. In three years he played in 34 games for the Gators, tallying 67 tackles, 11 tackles for a loss, and 7.5 sacks over three years.
During his time at Florida, Bogle was forced to split time with Georgia transfer Brenton Cox. Bogle was going to be walking into a similar situation at Kentucky, forced to share the Jack linebacker spot with J.J. Weaver or play a different position full-time. The prospects of immediate playing time apparently sold Bogle on Michigan State.

The Spartans won the first battle, but will Kentucky win the recruiting war for Kiyaunta Goodwin? Tucker was asked if he expects any more signing day additions to his class.
“We may have another name or two by the end of today, but we’re not sure about that,” he said. “It’s still ongoing. The hay is not in the barn.”
We’ll find out at 5pm ET.
