More bad news for Florida as one of its starting linebackers will likely miss Saturday’s game in Lexington.

Alex Anzalone, the strongside backer, is “very doubtful” for the game, according to Jim McElwain on today’s SEC coaches teleconference. The junior is Florida’s primary signal-caller on defense.

Anzalone is struggling with a shoulder injury suffered in the first half of the East Carolina game last week. He underwent X-rays in the locker room and did not return.

We’re still awaiting word on Florida’s defensive superstar, Vernon Hargreaves III, too. His status is still questionable.
