Former 4-star TE Khamari Anderson enters transfer portal
A former top-400 prospect and the No. 20 tight end in the 2023 high school recruiting class is leaving Kentucky. Khamari Anderson, a sophomore out of Detroit, announced he will be entering the transfer portal following two seasons in Lexington.
The prized four-star recruit is looking for a change of scenery after recording just six catches for 40 total yards — one reception for 11 yards in ’23 and five receptions for 29 yards in ’24.
“Big Blue Nation it has been a privilege to call Lexington my home for these past two years,” he announced. “I thank the Lord for all that he has done in and through me during my time here, and I know he is far from done with me. I would like to also thank all my coaches, trainers, tutors, professors, and any faculty member that has poured into me thus far. I would lastly like to thank my teammates for a brotherhood and memories that I will have forever, and I wouldn’t trade that in for anything.
“With that being said, I will be entering my name into the transfer portal with two years of eligibility remaining.”
