Instead of a Wildcat, this fall Clevan Thomas will be a Bobcat. The former Kentucky wide receiver announced on social media he will be transferring to Montana State to complete his collegiate career.

During his Kentucky career Thomas started in eight games and caught 16 passes for 169 yards and a touchdown. A former three-star prospect and Top 100 wide receiver from Miami, Fl., Thomas was recruited by Eddie Gran and signed with the Wildcats in 2017. Unfortunately, injuries prevented his career from ever getting off the ground. The fifth-year senior suffered a season-ending ACL injury at the conclusion of 2021 spring practice, forcing him into a student coach’s role last fall.

In 2022 Clevan Thomas will play in Bozeman against Big Sky competition. The FCS program is the only school to produce three national titles in three different divisions of football. Last year Montana State advanced to the FCS National Championship game, falling 38-10 to North Dakota State in the final.
