The fans weren’t the only people encouraged by Kentucky Football’s new-look offense; many of Mark Stoops’ former players tuned in or attended the game, and there seems to be some jealousy over this new Liam Coen offense.

NFL rookie Quinton Bohanna, an All-SEC defensive lineman in 2020, wonders where Liam Coen was a year ago “at that mf.”

Bohanna was also proud of his old defense.

Super Bowl champion Mike Edwards wondered what could have been if his 2018 team had a passing offense. Edwards and his teammates won the Citrus Bowl and gave Kentucky its first 10-win season in over 40 years.

Answer the question, Mike.

Avery Williamson. You remember him. Now a seven-year NFL vet, he played his senior year at Kentucky under Mark Stoops in Stoops’ first year and he too liked what he saw out of the Will Levis/Liam Coen debuts.

Kash Daniel is ready to give Levis the Heisman trophy.

Then there is the former QB, Terry Wilson. Wilson transferred last winter to play out his final season at New Mexico, but he checked in on his old squad and tweeted a cryptic “hmmm” when Levis was airing it out.

Wilson is second on UK’s all-time wins list, but it looks like even he is wondering what could’ve been with more weapons and a more aggressive playcaller.
