Former Kentucky cornerback Quandre Mosely did not survive the new round of cuts at the Dallas Cowboys training facility. Mosely was one of five who were waived from the Cowboys on Tuesday when America’s team trimmed its roster from 85 to the league-mandated 80-man roster today. Next Tuesday, NFL rosters will go from 80 to 53 on the third stage of preseason cuts.

Before he was waived, Mosely spent some time on the Physically Unable to Perform list but still got some run in the first two weeks of the preseason against Denver and San Diego. This past weekend, the former Wildcat made a couple of nice plays against the Chargers, but still didn’t do enough to survive Tuesday’s cuts.

The Cowboys signed Mosley as an undrafted free agent after the 2022 NFL Draft.

Mosely at Kentucky

As a Wildcat, Quandre Mosley played in 36 career games in Kentucky’s secondary after transferring in from Eastern Arizona Community College. He played three years in Lexington thanks to the bonus year and left with 69 career tackles, three tackles for loss, one sack, 10 pass breakups, and three interceptions.

Hopefully, his phone rings again soon for a new opportunity in the NFL.
