One of the top uncommitted prospects in the class of 2022 is no longer available. Adrame Diongue, a seven-foot senior out of AZ Compass Prep, has committed to Washington State. He chose the Cougars over Kansas, Kentucky, Texas Tech and UNLV.

Washington State announced the official signing Tuesday afternoon.

Diongue, a past teammate of former Kentucky guard TyTy Washington at AZ Compass Prep, came in at No. 55 overall and No. 8 among centers in the final On3 Player Rankings.

The 7-foot, 185-pound prospect out of Scottsdale (AZ), took official visits to UNLV (April 18) and Washington State (April 20) before finalizing his decision. Diongue considered a visit to Kentucky, but one never materialized. The Wildcats did not extend a scholarship offer.

“I have been talking to their coaching staff regularly,” Diongue said of Kentucky back in April. “We are trying to set up a visit date. I am excited to get over there and see them, build the relationship more, and find out more about how they are looking for me to contribute.”

Playing basketball for just three years, the four-star center was looking for a place he could develop as a player.

“Development is huge for me,” he told On3. “I’ll look at how they use their bigs and the style they play too.”

With Kentucky opting out, Diongue is ready to take his talents to Pullman (WA) to play for the Cougars.
