Four-star PG Acaden Lewis announces offer from Kentucky
While on an unofficial visit to Kentucky, four-star point guard Acaden Lewis announced on social media that he received a scholarship offer from head coach Mark Pope and the Wildcats.
Lewis’ visit to Lexington began on Monday and it didn’t take long for an offer to come through. He’s been recruited by Kentucky’s new coaching staff since at least late May. Assistant coach Jason Hart has led the charge thus far. Lewis has taken just two official visits to Florida State and Virginia.
“I’ll be looking at everything. I want to see how Coach Pope acts around his players,” Lewis told KSR+ on May 30. “It’s Kentucky. It’s a huge school and there’s a lot of history there. I want to enjoy my unofficial, talk to players, and get as much as I can out of it.”
According to the On3 Industry Ranking, Lewis is ranked No. 67 overall in the 2025 recruiting class. Clocking in at 6-foot-3, 170 pounds, the Maryland product also holds offers from the likes of Georgetown, Michigan, Auburn, Indiana, Missouri, UConn, Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina, Louisville, and many more.
Lewis has seen his stock rise significantly throughout the spring. On the Nike EYBL circuit for Team Durant, the lefty floor general averaged 15.3 points, 3.6 assists, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game while shooting 41.3 percent from the field, 34.4 percent from long range, and 77.8 percent from the line across 15 contests.

Additionally, Lewis was tabbed one of On3’s Top Overall Performers from last week’s NBPA Top 100 Camp in Orlando, where Kentucky had multiple assistants on location. Lewis averaged 15.1 points, 3.6 assists, and 3.6 rebounds per outing across nine games played for the Houston Rockets on shooting splits of 51/42.9/73.9.
Kentucky was in attendance to watch nearly all of it, and it ultimately led to an offer for Lewis. The next step for Pope and his staff will be getting Lewis back on campus for an official visit this summer.
