Georgia Amoore named a 2nd Team AP All-American

When Kenny Brooks brought Georgia Amoore along with him to Kentucky, it was pretty clear that a very special player was soon to arrive in Lexington.

The 5-foot-8 point guard had been named All-ACC twice, the 2023 ACC Tournament MVP and an 3rd Team AP All-American in her time at Virginia Tech. This season at Kentucky, Amoore managed to be named 1st Team All-SEC, while also being named SEC Newcomer of the Year. However, the honors and accolades don’t stop there.

On Wednesday, Amoore was named a 2nd Team AP All-American, joining the likes of LSU’s Aneesah Morrow, UConn’s Sarah Strong, Florida State’s Ta’Niya Latson and Notre Dame’s Olivia Miles.
