Amoore, who is a finalist for multiple national awards, is averaging 18.8 points and a league-leading 6.9 assists in 36.2 minutes per game during her lone season with the Wildcats. Strack is second on the team in scoring at 15.3 points per game in addition to her 9.5 rebounds and SEC-high 2.5 blocks per outing.
Behind the efforts of Amoore and Strack, new head coach Kenny Brooks, who brought those two over to Lexington with him from Virginia Tech, has Kentucky back in the national conversation. The Wildcats finished the 2024-25 season with a 22-6 overall record (11-5 SEC), good enough to secure a double-bye in this week’s SEC Tournament. UK will play on Friday afternoon (2:30 p.m. EST on ESPN) in Greenville, SC with a quarterfinals matchup against the winner of Oklahoma and Arkansas/Georgia.
