Georgia Amoore receives votes for AP Preseason All-American Team

On Tuesday, Kentucky point guard Georgia Amoore was just shy of being named an AP Preseason All-American.

Amoore was the second player to just miss the cut. UCLA’s Lauren Betts received seven votes, while Amoore received six. USC’s Kiki Iriafen, who received eight votes, was the last player to make the team.

Paige Bueckers (UConn) and JuJu Watkins (USC) were unanimously voted in, while Hannah Hidalgo (Notre Dame), Madison Booker (Texas) and Iriafen were also voted as AP Preseason All-Americans.

Among the others receiving votes were: Raegan Beers (Oklahoma), Ayoka Lee (Kansas State), Aneesah Morrow (LSU), Rori Harmon (Texas), Flau’jae Johnson (LSU), Audi Crooks (Iowa State), MiLaysia Fulwiley, Raven Johnson and Te-Hina Paopao (South Carolina).
