PICKING Georgia at Kentucky | Can Bulldogs, Kirby Smart DOMINATE Wildcats? What's wrong with UK?

The Georgia football program isn’t doing anything to debunk the narrative that they have a driving problem.

On the night before the Dawgs travel to Lexington for Saturday’s game against Kentucky, Georgia cornerback Daniel Harris was arrested for reckless driving after he was clocked driving 106 miles per hour on a wet road. Harris was tagged with five automobile-related misdemeanors: Reckless driving, not wearing a seatbelt, operating an unregistered vehicle without a license plate, driving without proof of insurance, and having illegal window tint.

A rotational player on the Georgia defense, in the first two games of the season Harris allowed three receptions in 43 snaps at cornerback. He has recorded two tackles this fall.

Harris is a true sophomore from Miami. He was a four-star recruit in the 2023 class, ranked as the No. 163 overall player in the country by the On3 Industry Ranking.

Between January 2023 and July 2024, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution tallied 24 driving-related incidents by Georgia football players. Head coach Kirby Smart has been criticized for how he has disciplined his team, but that doesn’t mean players have been left completely off the hook. RB Trevor Etienne was suspended for the opening game of the season following a DUI and reckless driving charge in March. It’s unclear if Harris will make the trip to Lexington for tomorrow’s game against Kentucky.
