Georgia LB Quintavion Norman Commits to Kentucky
Kentucky is adding another piece to the 2024 puzzle on National Signing Day. On Wednesday morning the Wildcats received a commitment from Quintavion Norman.
Hailing from Covington, GA, Norman is a 6-foot-3, 205-pound linebacker who is new to the game of football. Last fall was his first on the gridiron, which is one reason why few have heard his name until now.
Unranked by all of the major recruiting services, Norman initially planned on developing his game at the junior college level. While grinding away in the classroom to improve his grades, his athleticism caught the eye of Kentucky’s coaching staff. They believe he will bring invaluable upside to Kentucky’s linebacker room.
“They were telling me the Josh Allen story and how his story went. They like my story too, so it kind of matches,” he told Jacob Polacheck of KSR+. [Kentucky] found him the last weekend going into signing day.”

Norman officially visited over the weekend and felt right at home. He fits right in with what Kentucky likes in off-ball linebacker prospects. Norman is a lengthy, rangy athlete who can cover ground in a hurry.
Even though he does not have prolific recruiting rankings, he is similar to other incoming freshmen who are new to the position. Kentucky recruited plenty of EDGEs in the 2024 class, with the intent to play them off the ball as an inside linebacker. The Wildcats are rolling the dice, hoping that more than one of these long-term projects hits in a big way.
A Closer Look at the 2024 Kentucky Football Recruiting Class
The Wildcats will finish ranked just inside the Top 25 of the On3 Industry Ranking. Norman is the 22nd player to join the 2024 recruiting class, and that does not include the Texas long-snapper who committed on Tuesday, Trent Baker. Norman is the seventh player in the class who spent time either standing up or playing outside linebacker in high school. To secure the future of the defense, Brad White is going to have to coach ’em up and teach these players to take their medicine early and often.
