The Kentucky football coaching staff is not taking any days off in June. After hosting about dozen official visitors and hundreds of campers over the weekend, KSR has learned Sean Thompkins will soon be in Lexington for an official visit.

Thompkins is the latest enormous offensive lineman to check out Kentucky’s campus. Standing 6-feet, 6-inches tall and weighing over 310 pounds, the Covington, Ga. interior offensive lineman has SEC size. The 2023 prospect is currently unranked by the major recruiting services.

Recruited by UK offensive line coach Zach Yenser, Thompkins holds scholarship offers from Florida, Georgia Tech, West Virginia, Baylor and a handful of others. Last weekend he was in Waco for an official visit to Baylor.

It’s clear Kentucky is placing an emphasis on size and versatility when searching for offensive linemen in the 2023 recruiting class. The latest addition to the class, Austin Ramsey, has the nickname “House” after all. Thompkins is another house-sized blocker. In the first three plays of his highlight reel, he plays three different positions, rotating between both guard spots and right tackle. He may not have the high recruiting profile, but Sean Thompkins checks a lot of the boxes Yenser appears to be looking for in future Wildcats.
