Kentucky fans Richard and Pam Jackson wait in line outside of Bridgestone Arena for the SEC Mens Basketball Tournament in Nashville on Thursday, March 14, 2019.

With the 2025 SEC Tournament less than a week away, Nashville is on Big Blue Nation’s minds. Soon, BBN will take over Broadway and Bridgestone Arena to support Mark Pope’s Wildcats in the first conference tournament of the Pope era. Earlier today, he stressed the importance of winning in the Music City, which is quite the change in tone from the past regime.

The upcoming SEC Tournament isn’t the only reason that Kentucky fans are thinking about Nashville right now. Tomorrow, tickets to next season’s Kentucky-Gonzaga game officially go on sale. The fourth installment of the series is scheduled for Friday, December 5, in Bridgestone Arena.

Fans interested in attending the Cats vs. Zags in Nashville can secure their tickets before Friday’s public release with a presale code. Find the game on Ticketmaster here and enter code CATSZAGS to unlock early access to purchase. Most of the early-access seats in the lower level are gone but there are still plenty of tickets throughout the second level.

Kentucky’s record in Nashville and Bridgestone Arena

When Kentucky and Gonzaga meet in Bridgestone Arena next season, it will be the Wildcats’ first regular season game in Nashville’s downtown arena. Kentucky has played 18 games in Bridgestone as part of the SEC Tournament, but never a standalone game in the regular season.

Kentucky is 13-5 in tournament games in Bridgestone, going back to the first tournament in 2010.

According to Big Blue History, Kentucky is 90-37 overall in the Music City, mostly against Vanderbilt, although seven NCAA games were been played there.

Kentucky vs. Gonzaga

While we’re looking at historical records, Kentucky is 2-2 against Gonzaga, but only 1-2 in games in the current series. Kentucky won the first meeting in the 2002 Maui Invitational. The two teams have three games left in the current six-year agreement:

2022 – Spokane Arena (#2 Gonzaga 88, #4 Kentucky 72)
2023 – Rupp Arena (Gonzaga 89, #17 Kentucky 85)
2024 – Seattle (#4 Kentucky 90, #7 Gonzaga 89 – OT)
2025 – Nashville
2026 – Rupp Arena
2027 – McCarthey Athletic Center
