Giants' Wan'Dale Robinson "day-to-day" following Sunday injury scare
Wan’Dale Robinson has avoided a serious injury after leaving his professional debut with a knee issue.
The New York Giants rookie wide receiver caught a pass in the first quarter against the Tennessee Titans in Sunday’s season-opener. Robinson’s five-yard reception was the first of his professional career, but he injured his knee during the play following an “awkward hit”, according to The Athletic’s Charlotte Carroll, and did not return to the game.
Luckily, an initial X-ray came back negative and he was later ruled “day-to-day” by head coach Brian Daboll on Monday afternoon. Robinson was also scheduled to receive an MRI on Monday.

After spending one record-breaking season at Kentucky, Robinson was a second-round draft pick by the Giants earlier this year. His 104 receptions and receiving 1,334 yards during his junior season at UK in 2021 set single-season program records. Following a productive offseason, he was listed as a second-string WR by the Giants ahead of Sunday’s opener.
Robinson only saw a handful of plays before leaving New York’s 21-20 win over the Titans. His five-yard catch from QB Daniel Jones converted a third down for the Giants, though.
Hopefully, Robinson can get back on the field sooner rather than later.
