Golf Cats Finish 4th at Quarencia Cabo Collegiate
Finally. I’ve spent the last two years clamoring about how talented this Kentucky golf team is, but they have to put together a strong three day tournament against top notch competition.
Until now. The Cats spent this weekend exercising their demons, finishing 4th out of a loaded 14 team field that included first ranked Alabama, as well as seven other teams ranked inside the top 34. Leading the way for the Cats was senior and British Open participant Ben Stow, who shot 1-over for the three days to finish 4th overall. Stow was five shots behind the winner, Houston’s Roman Robledo.
Two other Cats finished inside the top-15 as well, as seniors Stephen Powers and Cody Martin both went 6-over for the tournament to finish tied for 14th. David Snyder (+13) and Will Bishop (+19) rounded out the Cats lineup.

Not only did Houston have the top finisher, though, as they also won the overall tournament by shooting a team score of 11-over par. Top ranked Alabama finished one shot behind, and the Cats lost to the Cougars by nine. Top teams that the Cats defeated included: #17 Vanderbilt, #21 Arkansas, #31 LSU and #34 SMU.
The Cats next action starts March 14th at the Schenkel Invitational in Statesboro, GA. Good luck men!
